We would like to inform you that our factories in Japan, Panasonic Electric Works Co. Ltd. and SUNX Ltd., merged to form a new company as of October 1, 2010: Panasonic Electric Works SUNX Co., Ltd. All automation-device-related manufacturing and business became part of this new company. The synergetic effects resulting from this merger will allow Panasonic to combine its know-how and strengthen its activities in the automation sector.
As a consequence, more than 2000 sensor and Laser Maker products hitherto labeled as SUNX must be rebranded as Panasonic. This task is obviously a huge logistic undertaking and will require several months during 2011 to finish. Existing stock will be sold as labeled. Fortunately, part numbers will not change!
In addition to rounding off its automation product range with sensors and Laser Markers, this brand name change indicates Panasonic's commitment to offering outstanding quality and service for these products.
